There is much time as well.

D, You Know Who doesn't know why is scared (keeping a track of the number of days left),

And soon, he (one of the fistful) will go away too. :(

What happens when...

...something you planned since ages, falters.
...something you know is bound to happen, doesn't.
...something you move closer to, slides farther away.
...something you've nurtured lovingly, dies.

And then, all of a sudden, something you really want, makes way for itself (in a way).
You Know Who just hopes the way "it" has made way for itself, "it" makes itself HAPPEN also.

Tired

You Know Who went for a concert today.
You Know Who invited two friends also.
You Know Who's friends more-than-readily agreed to come.
Midway You Know Who realised that You Know Who messed up the dates.
Meaning the concert was not to be held today.
You Know Who sat midway (in a public place) and laughed and laughed.
You Know Who then gathered the senses and messaged the two friends: apology.
You Know Who's two friends still came to meet You Know Who.
You Know Who declared You Know Who Legally Blonde.
Still, You Know Who had a great time with the two friends.
All's well that ends well :)

You Know Who lost the Big Fight today (or so they think).
But, You Know Who thinks You Know Who won as You Know Who said NO to what You Know Who does not want, howsoever tempting it maybe.

Happy and Confused

These are You Know Who's two states of mind. Mostly.
Though there is one more state that has gripped You Know Who of late.
You Know Who is trying hard to let go that state of mind
You Know Who is a Happy person.
Happy is You Know Who's perfume also. It makes You Know Who happier to wear Happy.
You Know Who fails to understand why some people love to embrace sadness.
Why can't people just be happy and make You Know Who's life even happier?!
You Know Who is a confused soul as well.
And You Know Who loves to confuse people in turn.
And that makes You Know Who YOU KNOW WHO.

What if we really really DO NOT want something to happen in a certain way?

The Royal Drag

Started the day with many great thoughts about the tasks-to-be-accomplished.
Did only one.
Saw a movie, and was asked the reason why I liked it.
I like answering questions. They do for you what you do not do for yourself.
At times, they leave you pondering.
At other times, they make you face the answers that are 'all' 'ready' within.
Anyway, back to the Royal Drag.
It has been happening for quite some time now.
Lots of things to do; quite a bit of time in hand; yet the day seems to drag You Know Who like the wind forces the rain to sway in its direction.
Sometimes it is good to let the wind have its say, but then, 'how long' is what You Know Who should ask the self.

Numbers ain't nothing

There are people who believe in numbers. I do too.
But then, where friends are concerned, I feel, even if there is one, he/she can make ALL the difference in your little world.
Ain't it?
Just a thought.
Something I thought of, while I was talking to the neighbour again.
Neighbour hai to bacha, but baatein bahut achi karta hai. Always makes the khadoos me ishmile :D

All of us at a time in life seek the answer to this line....Ye Raat Kab dhalegi?
And Jab dhal jaati hai tab hum sochte hain, ye to hona hi tha....
It is the dark night that makes us cherish the bright day in a more humble manner than
otherwise.

Memory and Memories

I have a new neighbour at work. Was talking to him for quite some time randomly.
We happened to talk about photography, and then he uttered the name Samar Nakhate.
As the memory always lets me down with names, I didn't react for a while, until he told me further about the person.
Later, it rung a dong in the head. BAM!
Nakhate Sir, I recalled, was my professor at SIBM.
Known as Baba to some, Nakhate Sir, is one man, whose simplicity and knowledge would surely bog down any one who has a quest to learn.
He uses this particular swear word, which has become a cult statement of a certain sort; very, very famous among his admirers.
When we meet people like Nakhate Sir in life, it alters the way we live and think. Such is the impact of great knowledge and simplicity.
He is one person who takes pride in his being. Not many 'self-proud' people have such a following. He does. And that, I suppose says it all.
In remembrance...I smile.

Thread

Have done so much in the last two years and yet nothing at all.
Have thought a lot.
Have been exclusively with the self.
Have discovered a few things.
Have been unusually quiet.
And now, all of a sudden, say since the past few months, started talking, started meeting people.
It was tough. Very.
And today, after a very smooth day, I am feeling unusually low.
Something is troubling me, can't exactly figure out what. It could be either of the two things.
I want to just go away. Far away.
Peace.
Period.

Back to life?

All the senses that were lost seem to be coming back.
You Know Who can 'feel' again, laugh again, and cry as well!
Cold no more.
The connection with the biggest You Know Who of the world has also been restored (even if partly).
It took two years plus to be back to the self.
Everything has changed.
As You Know Who wakes up, there is chaos all around.
A lot has been lost.
A lot has to be gained.
And in the center is You Know Who. Calm most of the times, uneasy at others.
Figuring what happened all this while.
Figuring what next.

You Know Who is writing this because You Know Who asked the self some of these questions (and maybe still is doing that) and You Know Who strongly feels that you should do that too .
Where are you headed in life?
Why are there so many things you are doing at one go?
Why don't you channelise your energies towards the one thing that you really really want. And believe You Know Who, if you do that, all other things would fall in place on their own. Serious.
Why are you over it (her) but still not? (This is not applicable to You Know Who o' course)

Heart-to-Heart

You Know Who has noticed some drastic changes in the self and was talking about them with someone. Let's call this someone N. N affirmed the changes. You Know Who felt happy and good.
When one is surrounded by positive people, positive changes take place.
You Know Who has also noticed that You Know Who has started ignoring all the bad things that happen around and so, Life's GOOD :)

Life That Was

You Know Who was reading DT today and remembering the life and times at DT.
Those forget-the-self type hectic schedules.
Those never-stop-writing sessions.
Those never-ending deadlines.
Those thunderous screams of the even bigger YOU KNOW WHO.
Those lovely bylines.
Those fifteen hours plus of working hours.
Those pats on the back from the bigger YOU KNOW WHO.
Those big birthday cakes from the bigger YOU KNOW WHO.
Those women who mattered (and still do).
That then Chief-Sub who still recognises my voice at one go.
That photographer who still is THE BEST.
Nostalgic...eh?

Rock Star

There are people who are never ever around and yet hold such an important place in your life. Rock Star is that person for me.
He has no strings attached,
He can do the simplest task in the most unique way one can think of,
He steers away from complications.
He has always believed in me,
He loves me for who I am,
He used to (and still does) let me be.
We talk maybe four times in one year since we don't live in the same city any more,
We don't email/IM each other,
Yet we know we are there for each other,
And that makes us US.
